Hello everybody,

I'm interested in history of religions and at the moment i'm very interested in alevism. I'm neither alevi nor turksih.

Since the information on the internet is scarce i'd like to ask you a couple of questions:

1. Is divorece allowed in alevism?

2. is adultary allowed? is it a sin?

3. To which branch of alevism do the alevis in adana belong? The alawites in syria or not?

my uncle divorced his wife two years ago..but..Not agreeable

adultery? having sexual relations with someone other than one's husband or wife //(exactly )it is ,without doubt , execrable crimes

to the best of my knowledge , they are (partisan of the caliph ali)...not very different..they are anatolia alevis

Nobody wants to get divorced because noone wants to end his/her relationship and destroy his/her marriage...We can look to this subject from this point of view,apart from sin or acceptablity!

Adultery means sexual relation without marriage.That is fairly disgusting and non tolerated act in Alevism.However,This act is fully contrary to the basic philosophy of Alevism which is called "Dominate your hand,waist,tongue"in Turkish "Eline,beline,diline hakim ol."

Much of Alevis of Adana are Nusayri I mean that they are like Syrians.

I apologize for the reply because i was very busy at work and now it took me half an hour to find my messages and i still cant find the english forum in the main menu....i dont speak turkish and its a bit difficult for me to reply on time...

Now i have a question: i know a turkish man who is alevi and who is married to an alevi woman form turkey, yet he is looking for contacts with other women. How would you comment that? do you think he really is religious?
