Orijinalini görmek için tıklayınız : I just want to say hello
Actually I tried to register and followed your instructions.Yet I had to fill some fields randomly because they were defined in Turkish which unfortunately I don't understand.
Any way I got an email from you to tell me that I didn't match your registeration criteria (what criteria ??!!!?!!!?!!!).
Any way it is your place after all and you are free to admit or admit not whoever you want.
I'm from neighbouring Syria. And I belong to the Alawite branch of Shia Islam.
We first learnt about the Alevis in the 1990's during the unrest that took place in Istanbul.Because the words Alevi and Alawite are the same in Arabic (Alawi) many people here thought that the Alevis are Alawites(many people here still do).
Now I know that there are a lot of differences between our two faiths.
But still I want to learn about you because I love to learn about other cultures and religions.
It is very strange your declaration on the head of this forum that Alevism is a completely seperate form of religion.Yet it is clear that you revere Mohammad and his family (Ahlu Albeit) which is likely to make you be classified as another form of Islam (no matter how different from mainstream Islam).
Please I want to learn about the following points:
Do you believe that Mohammad was a prophet sent by God.
Do believe that the Quran is a holy book.
Do you have other holy books.
How do you view Ali Ibn Abi Taleb.
Are you twelvers.if you are ,are your 12 Imams the same as those of other twelver shia branches.
Is there any discrimination against you by the Sunni majority of Turkey.
if there is a discrimination have you tried to liase with the other minorities in Turkey to face it.
do you have existence in Balkan peninsula. If you do ,do the Christians there hold the same hatred to you that they do to other Moslems there.
Any other information will be highly appreciated.
My best wishes and regards
KızılBant 05.03.2007, 21:21 Hello my friend. Yes Alawites (Nusairi) and Anatolian Alevis(Kızılbash) are same but Nusairis making namaz and fast Ramadan. But Anatolian Alevis dont do them. We have Shaman and Zerdusht and a little paganistic believes.
But Alawites and Anatolian Kızılbashes are similar. For example Syrian president is a Alawi its good we like this.

Mr.KızılBant before thanks for explanation but Nusairis are making ring namaz as Anatolian Alevis as. and not fast Ramadan.
please read this topic ---> Nusayrilik (http://www.aleviforum.com/showthread.php?t=4550)
Thanks :)
I think that the term of Anatolian Alavi doesn't let gain anything. If we have a look to the past of Alavism history,we will clearly see that Alavism and Shia are same terms.Let's have a look to Yunus Emre,Pir Sultan Abdal,Fuzuli and Shah Hatayi's personalities and poems.Anatolian people have met with Alavism during Shah Hatayi and it can be clearly understood by everybody who is searching these subjects, that Shah Hatayi is a member of 12 Imam Supporter Ismailiye or by the other name of Cafariya. But in the after time, with mixing Bektashism,Alavism has taken the shape of Anatolian Alavism.

I've registered again under the name Syrian.I got a meassage that my registeration would be reviewed by the administrators and that I would promptly receive a reply .I hope this time I'll make it.
Thank you all guys for your warm words.
It is always good to communicate and understand each other.
What made me to come here was that we were discussing in our Arabic Alawite forum and we came on mentioning the Alevis of Anatolia. Each one of us had a very different notion about Alevism. Some said they are the same as we are.Others said no they are more close to the Ismaili branch of Shia, they don't believe in the twelve Imams.Other said actually they are a Sunni Sufi practice related to Nakshbandis.Actually our information about you is very scarce and vague.
I decided to hear the truth from the followers of the Alevi faith directly. So I thought those people should have had their own forum .I googled and here I am.
Actually, I have already learnt a lot reading your few English posts ,but I still look forward for more information. And I'll transfer my knowledge to my friends.
Thank you very much.
I've got my user name activated.

I hope we will spend a useful time together :001_rolle

By your signature, you have already answered one of my questions.
You are signing with the verse 33 of Alahzab Chapter of the Quran that speaks about the purification and inerrancy of the Prophet's family.
It means that you do believe in Quran as a holy book.
Do you believe that the Quran has been maintained and preserved against distortion.
Do you have other holy books besides Quran.
serap_kerasus 07.03.2007, 15:22 welcome to the forum
I hope you will have good time here with your forum mates..I wish I could offer you some sources in english, but most probably there are lots of books which describe alevizm in english. I wil seearch for you
Some additional questions :
Do you people have a satisfactory representation in the parilament ,goverment and other political decision-making bodies.
If you do, what is exactly the goal of the movement led by Professor Ezzideen Doghan (I don't know about the spelling).
Do you okay intermarriages with other sects?
Do you Okay polygyny(a man's getting married with more than one woman at a time)?
welcome to the forum

I'm aware of some English resources.
But I know that these resourcs ,being made basically by non-Alevis ,can be misleading or prejudiced .
Any way, don't worry! We still have a very long time to get to know each other better.
