topkapı place is the oldest and the largest palace that lasted until modern day
ıts location which is known as the founding location of the city is the acropolis hill that overses the golden horn the bosphorus and the marmara sea.
ıt is a complex campus that is 700.000 wide and at the end of the historical ıstanbul peninsula surrounded with 5 km of waters ıt has been used as a museum since atatürk's orders in 1924 most of th art pieces displayed in the museum are one of kind masterpieces ıts functions while it was used as a palaces
while this palace was the sultan's offical home it was also the location where
the following items activites were held offical affairs ministers meeting the treasury the mint and the archives the highest educational institution the universty of the sultan was also in the palace this place was the sole heart brain and the overall center of the ottoman empire the sultan's harems were also moved to here long after it was built.

Thank you ver much indeed for your nice anticipation to our English Forum.Your informations about landmarks of İstanbul is too great.İstanbul is a big finance and culture centre and Turkey's most populous city with it's almost 15 million population.İstanbul has a big strategical importance cause it's a bridge between Asia and Europe with the Bosphorus!

I liked this one too much cause Didem has typed Istanbul throat:lol:

Topic started very good but it couldn't have a small living indication. Constantinople is the very place of my job. Some says that it is one of the most exciting cities in the world. But I dont agree on it. I suppose it is the most exciting one. Why not? It has no similar. Buds add your ideas about Constantinoples please.
