whats wrong ??? well it is wrong if ur only here for advertising... u have to be aware that this place is a forum too, and people share their culture and views here. of course its a nice thing for all Alevis to know each other, and thanx i have TRIED UR SITE ! but i didnt understand a word. if ur here to share ur views with us and participate in this forum ur more than welcomed... however i just dont find ur aprroach genuine . and that is the impression u gave me, its not an aspect for a debate.

and i found about your forum through Feras.

I was reading your comments and I don't think posting a link to our forum here has anything to do with how "genuine" the approach was as Naz decribed it. I think getting to know Alawites around the world is the goal for both of the forums and we should appreciate the fact that our paths crossed so that we can get to know each others cultures, practices, and so forth.
Naz you said you've visited our site and you didn't understand a word! well same here for yours but i've managed to sign up and hopefully become a member in this forum... and share my thoughts, and get to know yours!

So i really encourage you guys to join myali.net, don't take this as an advertisement but rather an invitation , and just as you have allowed us into your home and been so kind, we'd like to be your hosts as well.

there is an English and Turkish sections for those of you who would like to join or browse!

There are about 15 million alevi in Turkey, and about 2 million alevi in europe.but I don't know in Europe.I live in İstanbul,in Turkey.What about you?how many alevi(alawi) are there in Syria?what about your president(Mr.Esad) alawi?ferasof Sah hatayi=sah ismail.Sah ismail was a king in iran about 550 yeaars ago.and he was alevi.ı think you know this.but you don't know hatayi.We say that hatayi in turkish.

I have more friends from hatay

about 2 million alevis live in germany
about 100.000 alevis live in austria
there are up to 1 million other anatolian alevis living all around in the EU

and there are nearly ~5 million bektasi alevis living on the balcans (albania, ...)

about 12 - 18 million alevis live in turkey

assuming, our total count in europe and turkey is: ~23.000.000

No sweat! Actually we are really happy to see you at this forum!

Anyway, related to the number of Alawites (Alevites), i think we are a miniority, because there are different Alawi (Alevi) Faiths and we aren't seetled alltogether in the same region, we are spread all around the world, this makes our troubles become larger and harder to solve.

Different countries mean different origins and different political situations, ... and as you know different pratices in our religious believe make it really hard to spread a "unified alevi identity".

I was acquainted with Syrıan Alewi in Sydney. Now, they are saying me Syrian Alewitas different from Turkish Alevitas. you could give us some information about the alewitas in Syria. Would you believe it?What is this different this dissent? And Sory, I don't understand your website.

And I give you any information for you. İn the Turkey live 25 milion Alewi people. They are different Nation. Somebody is Turkish,Kurdish or Arabish and many people is another natıon. but All Alewitas people think the same. Would you like give us your country social or regional situation.

about hatayi we don't know him unless you say the name in arabic> we know al makzoon al sinjari from sinjar Iran he cam to syria long time ago on top of a big army and he saved all alawee in syria from death.

my friend; its look like that's your rules to not go to masjed or not fasting, but its totaly big mistake, as muslim first of all, & second as Alawi(Alevi) we are believes the main muslim rules(fasting,praying,hajj..etc) so do the right & check what makes you muslim....regards for all Alawis of all the world:)

We do as we do, because our view on things differ from the Orthodox Muslims. We have our own written sources, just as you do.

As far as I know, the fundamentals of the Nusayriyyah is also quite different from mainstream orthodox Muslims. If I am not wrong, the Nusayris also have a history with persecution and massacres.

The Alevis are in a difficult situation, fighting against assimilation attempts from both Sunnites and Jafaris and from inside!

The Nusayriyyah also believe in the Batin aspect of religion as we do. You have Taqiyyah, as we also do. But hardly none of the Alevis today practice the Taqiyyah.
