Everyone speaks English but comes from a very diverse cultural background, with and without affiliation to any particular tariqa. The group is headed by Dr. Alan Godlas, who is very open-minded and quite knowledgeable in general matters of Sufi interest.
So...an invitation of sorts.
You can receive individual emails or a daily group digest comprised of a selected 25 responses.

Hi Canan and Shadow,
I just came accross your discussion about the sufi chat. Is this somehow related to Alevis, I thought Sufis are more from the Mevlana corner. Pls. correct me if I am wrong.
Canan, do you know other Alevi internet forums. I quite new in this field.
Sorry, just for your information I am Alevi and work for the UN in south-east Turkey but will leave soon for Kenya.
Warm regards, Erol

No, you get one email a day, unless you want individual emails, and it's basically a bunch of Sufi banter about anything. Occasionally you get the hard core fundamentalist but, you know.....define Sufi......define Alevi.....etc. Everyone's got their own interpretation.
In reply to the next post...Alevi-Bektashi ring a bell?
And Wassalaam is Arabic, yes. It means, essentially, "And Peace."
A polite goodbye.
